Being in such a fast-paced industry and a growing company, there are plenty of opportunities to grow at RevenueWire.
Many of our leadership team started in junior positions and have since worked their way up. Similarly, we have hired 18 former co-ops into full-time positions after school and have accommodated many requests when team members wanted to try something new by joining a team in another field.

At RevenueWire we’re all big on giving back to the communities in which we live and work.
Below you’ll find just a few of the initiatives that we’ve have taken part in over the last few years.
RevenueWire is a proud supporter of the annual VIATeC Food Challenge which benefits the Mustard Seed Food Bank.
The Mustard Seed is Vancouver Island’s largest food bank in addition to offering a host of other services to over 5,000 people in need a month.
From bake sales to burger & beer pub nights to auctions, there have been no shortage of initiatives that our staff have donated their time and money to in order to support this worthy organization. I
n February 2015, RevenueWire was the greatest overall contributor to the challenge, raising $8,956. A second challenge in November 2015 saw the company raise another $9,898 which placed us first runner up for the greatest overall contributor.
The fearsome RevenueWire Warriors, have competed for several years in the Power to Play Victoria challenge.
The event pits 40 teams against each other in a race through a course of physical and mental challenges. All proceeds raised benefit Power to Be, an organization that provides adventure based programs for youth and families in need of support.
Our RevenueWire Warriors came in second place in 2014 and received the Kindness Award in the technology and media category in 2015 after raising $4,598.
The RevenueWire Warriors were proud to participate in a test of endurance in the form of the Victoria 24 Hour Relay benefiting Easter Seals.
The organization works to improve the quality of life, self esteem and self-determination of people living with disabilities. The Warriors were able to raise over $3,000 for the event in 2014 and $4,600 in 2015.
Every holiday season, RevenueWire staff collect and donate a variety of items to the CFAX Santa Anonymous drive.
Gifts are subsequently wrapped and given to families in need in Greater Victoria.
Over the 2014 holidays, RevenueWire staff collected money and needed items to donate to the Women in Transition organization.
For over 35 years, the organization has been providing shelter, counselling and support for women in need.

We want to make sure staff love coming to work. In addition to having great co-workers and challenging work, this means having a modern, open office with a casual dress code, optional sit/stand desks, a stocked fridge and flexible work hours, among other things.
Our open office facilitates our culture of openness, collaboration and innovation. Our leadership team leads by example and are always interested in hearing new ideas on how we can better serve our customers. Company progress is shared in an all-team town hall once a quarter so everyone can see the impact of their work and ask questions.

Getting to work is also easy. The RevenueWire office is right on the Galloping Goose trail, has secure storage and a shower for those wanting to commute by bike. Assigned parking is also available free of charge or you can opt for a transportation allowance instead.
As much as we like building industry leading products together, we also like to get out of the office and take in some fun all-staff events. Events change a bit every year but some staples in the RevenueWire social calendar are a golf tournament, a family BBQ, a Victoria Royals game, pub nights and, the highlight of any year, the swanky holiday party.

Other activities we’ve enjoyed (and may do again) include tailgaters, curling, lawn bowling, dodgeball, dragon boating and hiking.
RevenueWire strives to make sure employees have the support outside of work to have a good work/life balance. Every employee starts with 15 days of vacation, 6 sick days as well as excellent extended health, dental and vision benefits that are effective on your first day of work.

Our work environment is fast-paced and our co-ops tell us no day is ever the same. But not to worry – you’ll be learning from experienced professionals and backed up with some of the latest business tools. If there is something in particular you want to learn more about during your term, we do our best to set up a plan to accommodate you.
Additionally, our dress code is casual, work hours flexible and our kitchen full of snacks. We also pepper our calendar with fun events like pub nights, lawn bowling, tailgaters, golf tournaments, Victoria Royals games and more.
Stephanie is studying marketing at Camosun College in Victoria. She was hired as a Marketing Team co-op in 2015.
When she started, Victoria-born Stephanie didn’t quite know what to expect from a co-op term with RevenueWire. School had given her a good background into the theory behind marketing but little about what marketers do day-to-day.
“It’s really opened my eyes to all the different things marketing can be. I’ve learned so much from my team about different tools and best practices that I feel like I know how to do the job now versus just how it could be in theory.”
Stephanie’s first day was a blur of introductions to both people and the many pieces that make up RevenueWire. She was also given a rundown on the current campaigns the marketing team was working on and presented with a RevenueWire swag kit.
The Camosun student’s initial responsibilities included writing copy, posting blogs, creating and sending emails, and other ad hoc tasks. Over the first few weeks of her term, she was introduced and trained on some of the latest marketing software tools including SalesForce, Pardot, WordPress and Confluence.
As Stephanie gained more experience, her responsibilities quickly grew. From strategy to campaign implementation and reporting, Stephanie now supports many critical functions of the marketing team as well as works with people across the organization.
“I’d say the biggest challenge for me was learning how to use all the software platforms used by the team, but once I had a decent handle on those, I definitely like how I was supported by the team to be able to grow my role.”
She says her coworkers have always made her feel like a full member of the team, not only giving her real-world knowledge and connections but also lasting friendships. As for the more social side of RevenueWire, her favorite staff event was the swank holiday party followed by the Victoria Royals hockey game.
“My experience at RevenueWire has really solidified my decision to pursue marketing as a career. I look forward to continuing to expand my skills and I’m really excited about where this experience could take me in the future!”
Michael joined RevenueWire from the University of Victoria Business program in 2014. His 8 month co-op term saw him work on the Client Services team.
Michael says there is no such thing as a typical day on the Client Services team.
“You never know what to expect. I always have a list of tasks but something can come up at any moment. I think that’s part of the challenge and part of the fun.”
Michael came to RevenueWire after completing a previous co-op term focused on database management at a commercial real estate firm. His ability to find innovative solutions and a solid technical understanding made him an excellent fit for the Client Services team, which is the critical technical link to get customers up and running on the company’s ecommerce platform. Overall, he says his RevenueWire co-op was extremely valuable.
“I learned a lot from my coworkers but it was also a two-way street. I feel I was able to contribute as much value as I got because I was treated as a full member of the team and not just a co-op. I was trusted with responsibility, I was able to come up with ideas and my input was valued in decision-making.”
Michael also says the biggest challenge when he started was figuring out how all the different parts of the business fit together. For co-ops wanting to join the RevenueWire team, he says they need to be able to handle pressure, stay on top of competing priorities, multitask effectively and be excellent communicators.
Michael says he enjoys the open and entrepreneurial culture at RevenueWire and his favorite staff event during his co-op was when the company rented a corporate box at a Victoria Royals hockey game. Runner up was an afternoon bowling event.
After graduating from UVic, Michael has since joined the RevenueWire Client Services team as a full-time employee.
Their data allows our operational team to make quick adjustment to close any KPI gaps and to award our top performing agents for surpassing their goals immediately.
RevenueWire has an excellent reputation in the ecommerce and online marketing community.
We especially like their reporting dashboards and built in QA which allow us to quickly see the vital key performance metrics and customer satisfaction data we need to continue to optimize our day to day operations.
